T. Erik Oaas
Upon graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from the University of Montana in 1975, T. Erik Oaas served as President of his family’s forest products manufacturing business in Montana.
In 1984, he moved his family to Boise and joined the Micron Technology, Inc (MTI) family of companies. He held a variety of supervisory positions in Procurement, Administration and Operations in the Systems Group. In 1989, he was named Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the newly formed contract manufacturing subsidiary, Micron Custom Manufacturing Services, Inc. (MCMS) where he also served as Vice President (VP) of Finance and was a member of the Board of Directors.
In 1995, when MCMS was merged with two other companies to form Micron Electronics, Inc. (MEI), he was named Executive VP of Finance, CFO and served on the Board of Directors until he retired in 1998. During his tenure at MEI, he was a key member of the team that raised $276 million in a secondary stock offering and he was a key team member on the team that sold the MCMS subsidiary to Cornerstone Investment Group for $257 million.
From 1998 to 2003, he consulted with several start-up businesses and other entities. After extensive discussions and analysis with Steve Laney concerning the Treasure Valley’s projected population growth, Erik and Steve Laney decided to launch the Oaas Laney companies in 2003.
Steven H. Laney
After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics from Brigham Young University, Steven H. Laney went to work as a Robotics Design Engineer at Santa Clara Plastics in Boise. In 1988, Steve joined MTI as a Design Engineer, developing products that helped the company diversify its product base.
From there, Steve was tapped to carry his design and engineering expertise to the company’s customers in the technical marketing arena. He served in this capacity until 1989, when he was identified to lead the Sales and Marketing Department for the newly established subsidiary, MCMS. Preparing for an Initial Public Offering in 1995, the company named Steve Vice President of Investor Relations. He skillfully aided in negotiating the challenging demands of investors and institutions for a NASDAQ 100 public company, a role he held at MEI until his retirement in 2000. While at MEI, he was a key member of the team that raised $276 million in a secondary stock offering for MEI in 1996.
From 2000 through 2002, Steve began investing in real estate throughout the Treasure Valley. Seeking to further penetrate the real estate market, Steve partnered with Erik Oaas to launch the Oaas Laney companies in 2003.

Chris Tverdy
Chris Tverdy joined Oaas Laney in March 2006 after serving as Corporate Outsourcing Manager for Micron since 2000. Chris brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of business start-up, operations and project management. After graduating from Boise State University in 1987 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Chris joined Micron, where he held a variety of management positions for over ten years.
From 1997 to 1999 he served as Director of Manufacturing and Plant Manager at Micron Custom Manufacturing Services, Inc. Chris then worked for Jabil Circuit as a Business Unit Manager until he rejoined Micron in 2000. In these roles Chris was directly involved in facility start-ups in North Carolina, Idaho, Malaysia and Puerto Rico. He performed a variety of functions within operations and developed extensive project management skills.
At Oaas Laney, he will be responsible for developing and implementing business plans, along with managing a variety of new projects.
Kim Clarke
Kim Clarke brings extensive human resource and administrative experience to Oaas Laney. As Oaas Laney’s Office Manager, Kim oversees all office operations and serves as Logistics Coordinator for employees and clients.
Prior to joining Oaas Laney, she worked as an Administrative Assistant/HR Support for the Wells Fargo Auto Finance Group in Boise. In addition, Kim honed her administration and HR skills while serving as Branch Administrator and Employee Liaison for BEST Consulting.
Stephen Bibbens
Stephen Bibbens joined Oaas Laney in April 2007, bringing with him extensive experience in accounting and finance. After receiving his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Gonzaga University in 2003, Stephen served as an Accounting Assistant for Dedicated Devices, Inc, and a Cost Accountant for Micron PC.
In May 2004, Stephen obtained his Masters of Accountancy Degree from Gonzaga University, upon which he joined Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Serving as a Senior Auditor, Stephen audited and reviewed public and private companies and supervised and trained audit staff to meet the highest professional standards.
In April 2007, Stephen joined Oaas Laney to serve as Project Manager for several development projects throughout the Treasure Valley.
