A well-known Nampa business is leaving its downtown location for the booming area near Interstate 84 and Garrity Boulevard.
Olson and Associates Architects signed a lease for 6,000 square feet in the Legend Building at Canyon Park, adjacent to the Idaho Center. Construction of the 26,000 square foot office buidling should begin in May and be completed by mid-fall.
Canyon Park is being developed by the Boise firm of Stewart Laney Benoit. The development's first office building - the Premier Building - was completed last fall and is home to Premier Alliance and the White, Peterson law firm which also left its downtown location.
Developer Patrick Laney said the addition of Olson and Associates and its owner, Stan Olson, is good for the development.
"If anything speaks of Nampa and its citizens, it's Stan," he said.
Olson could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
Laney said the firm also has signed a lease agreement with Treasure Valley Engineers and has another lease pending.
